Whew! I finally managed to get my Christmas home tour posted! I'm really excited about this one as I went a little different this year, bringing out many of my old decorations that I haven't used in a while and mixing them in with the newer items I've purchased. Since our house is on the small side we decided to put our tree in the entryway in front of a window. I'm really loving it there and how you can see it from the street, so festive! I kept the decor pretty simple in the rest of the entry by hanging up a plaid blanket scarf and the cutest knit mittens from my mini market basket. On the other side of the entry I placed a few faux wrapped gifts and the Norfolk pine tree my sweet husband gifted to me in rememberance of our 3 beautiful labs we lost this year. I just love this view! I purchased these faux bayleaf garland pieces about 12 years ago from Pottery Barn. I just attached each piece with floral tape, wound clear string lights around the entire garland, swagged it and nailed it to the wall. It was so easy and makes such a festive statement! A great example of how to use something you already have in a totally new way! If you follow me on Instagram you will notice this is a new piece. I swapped out my old hutch for this pine hutch I found on Craigslist for a steal! It wasn't a pretty pine wood so I gave it a makeover with some Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in the color Farmhouse White. It flows so beautifully with the rest of my home now! As for the Christmas decor I just added some fresh greenery, gold candles and pinecones to the top. A beautiful square boxwood wreath to the front and 2 antique grain sack stockings hung from the drawer pulls. I love the warmth and glow of lit candles! I scattered several glass votives and pretty ornaments on my coffee table including this beautiful glass angel. One of my favorite little displays this Christmas! Fyi, everything here are things I've had for many years, just using them in different ways which has been so fun and money saving! The antique pine table is another new addition to the family. I have wanted one for many, many years and my dream finally came true! It's so fun to decorate and now is big enough to fit more than 4 people! Here I just added some fresh greenery, candles in glass vases with fake snow and scattered some fake cranberries and pinecones. Here is a night shot of the Christmas tree! Our bedroom got a little Christmas cheer as well with a pom pom wreath and monogrammed stockings at the end of the bed. I hope you enjoyed the tour! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and thanks for stopping by!
