I'm so excited to finally share this room with you! It has been one of the rooms in my house that has given me the most grief. It serves as our front entry but is also long and narrow with tons of big windows and little wall space. I never quite knew how to fill all the empty space and how to marry the front entry with the rest of the space. I felt stuck and I was never truly happy with it. Well, one night as I was perusing Pinterest I was instantly inspired when I stumbled across beautiful photos of sunrooms. I realized I had never really thought of this space as a sunroom and now I finally had a vision for this space and it was all I needed to get going. After getting the hubby onboard I started removing the old bead board and trim while he went to Home Depot. He picked out the 1/4" pine bead board with the wider spaces between which I really loved! While he hung the bead board I went paint shopping. I wanted a light gray with some blue. (or so I thought!) I pretty much knew as soon as I painted it on that I didn't like it. But, I convinced myself that it would work out and I would end up loving it. So, I continued to paint and it actually started growing on me. After the walls were done it was time for new floors, yay! I could not wait to say bye, bye to those laminate floors. I knew I wanted white painted floors so we decided to use 4" pine planks as our floors. Once we got our pattern down and the floor in place we started nailing each plank down. Once that was all done I gave the floors a thorough vacuuming and put down 2 coats of primer. The next day I vacuumed again and did 2 coats of porch and floor paint, vacuuming between each coat. To protect the newly painted floors I sealed them with 2 coats of heavy traffic polyurethane specifically for floors. After everything was done I was so excited to decorate! But, as I started putting things back I just wasn't loving the color. It seemed to clash with everything in the room. I really didn't want to repaint but I realized that I wasn't going to ever be happy with this space until I repainted. I decided to go with the same color I used in my living room, white opal by Clark and Kensington. It took me about a week to finish painting and I am so happy I did! I am really enjoying this space and loving the new look! And I can finally call it a sunroom!
Thanks for stopping by! xo Rene'

This is so beautiful!!! 😄💕 I just finished painting my sunroom this past weekend. I’ve always been obsessed with white painted floors and now have them in my kitchen and sunroom. Your decor is just wonderful, too! What color white did you use on the floors?
